The Founder
Prior to founding HedgeNAV in 2021, Mark Battistoni enjoyed two decades at the intersection of Fund Finance and derivatives markets. He began his financial career in the U.S. at the independent hedging advisory firm Chatham Financial, later holding the senior roles in its London and Singapore offices. He joined Macquarie Group in 2018 to lead its Asian private equity risk solutions team. With a special focus on arranging fund-level credit facilities, Mark has led or advised on hundreds of debt and equity hedging transactions by international investors in private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure asset classes.
In his earlier five-year career in the U.S. Army, Mark served as an Infantry officer in the 2nd and 25th Infantry Divisions after graduating in the top 1% of West Point's class of 1994. He transitioned careers by earning a Master’s degree in international business relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University in 2001. Mark is a dual U.S. and French citizen currently living in Paris with his wife and two children.
